VanDusen Botanical Garden

VanDusen Botanical Gardens is located in the Shaughnessy neighborhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the northwest corner of 37th Avenue and Oak Street. The gardens cover 22 hectares (55 acres). In addition to displaying plants from around the world, there is a large collection of native plants from British Columbia (Northwest Coast). Usually, VanDusen Garden holds a festival of lights every winter, the entire garden will be covered by lights and there would be a carousel and fireplace in the garden, it’s a must-go in the winter. 



Vancouver Christmas Market

Vancouver Christmas Market is located in Jack Poole Plaza in Downtown Vancouver and is opening from Nov.13th to Dec. 24th this year. This is a European-style market, you can find food drinks and all the vendors selling souvenirs. It is worth going as a kid’s Christmas event and family event. Beautiful Christmas lights, carousel, and band performances are the main reason you should check out the market during the Christmas season.



Capilano Suspension Bridge

It is the season for Canyon Lights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park! Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is located in West Vancouver and it is a great attraction to visit if you are from the city! There are six attractions in the park and drinks and food are also available for tourists. If you are an adventure lover, cliff walk, treetop adventures, and suspension bridge is perfect for you. The current bridge is 140 meters (460 ft) long and 70 meters (230 ft) above the river. If you are a culture lover, Canyon Lights, story centre, and Kia’Palano can tell you all the indigenous stories about Vancouver. Canyon Lights are open every winter during the Christmas season, it is a must-go for British Columbians. Kia’Palano is a sight full of totems and history about British Columbian first nations.

Cypress Mountain 

Cypress Mountain is a destination many ski lovers will visit in the winter, it is located south of Cypress Provincial Park in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The ski area is 30 minutes north of downtown Vancouver and has 53 named alpine trails (many available for night skiing) and 19 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Snowshoeing is also popular. Snow school and rentals, Cypress Creek Grill, Gold Medal Cafe, and Crazy Crow Bar and Grill, and Big Bear Sports’ retail store are also located on the Cypress Creek Lodge grounds.

It is every skier’s dream to spend the winter in Cypress Mountain Resort. Also, Cypress Mountain is very ski beginner-friendly, mountains and cliffs are managed to be safe and you can rent all the ski equipment there. 



Many tourists think of Whistler as a summer travel destination with beautiful views, however, it is just as visit-worthy in the winter. Skiing, snowboarding, and hot spring are must-go on cold winter days. Winter 21/22 lodging and package deal are available now and Whistler offers snow school for beginners as well. Blackcomb is one of the most popular ski resorts in Canada, it includes spas, dining, ski mountain passes, shopping, and nightlife. Another recommendation in whistler is Scandinave Spa, relaxing in an outdoor hot bath surrounded by mountain view is the best way to take a break from the cold city. There are several massage therapies available in the spa as well, a weekend spa getaway is perfect in the winter.
